About Counterweight
Counterweight Research documents the development of a self-capitalized investment process focused on income, derivatives, liquidity, and portfolio resilience.
Why this exists
The purpose of this publication is to make the process visible: how an opportunity is framed, how downside is considered, why one structure is chosen over another, and what changes after the result is known.
The portfolio uses only its principal’s capital. Counterweight does not accept outside investments, manage third-party accounts, or provide individualized investment advice.
The research is written for serious market participants and for professional organizations interested in the quality of the underlying decision process.
Professional accessIncome generation evaluated alongside total return, liquidity, and drawdown risk.
Rules define the decision space; judgment determines how evidence is applied.
Every review should produce a change that can be observed in the next decision.
Publication standards
Research is published by Counterweight Research as the documented work of its proprietary investment process. A named principal biography will be added when approved for public release.
Framework notes distinguish observation, interpretation, and decision rules. Quantitative claims should identify their source, period, assumptions, and material limitations.
Relevant positions, compensation, sponsorships, and other material interests are disclosed with applicable content. Counterweight does not accept payment to promote an undisclosed investment view.
Material corrections should be dated and explained. Published dates are not changed merely to make older work appear current.
