About Counterweight

A proprietary portfolio with a public record of thinking.

Counterweight Research documents the development of a self-capitalized investment process focused on income, derivatives, liquidity, and portfolio resilience.

Why this exists

Good investing is difficult to evaluate from a return number alone.

The purpose of this publication is to make the process visible: how an opportunity is framed, how downside is considered, why one structure is chosen over another, and what changes after the result is known.

The portfolio uses only its principal’s capital. Counterweight does not accept outside investments, manage third-party accounts, or provide individualized investment advice.

The research is written for serious market participants and for professional organizations interested in the quality of the underlying decision process.
